Shufflex Biomed is a biotechnology start-up company developing rapid diagnostic testing kits for detection and simultaneous identification of infectious pathogens. The Shufflex diagnostics method is based on a unique proprietary multiplex technology that is designed to produce test results in less than an hour, while identifying and distinguishing multiple or co-infections at the same time.
Applying excellent science to diagnostics, Shufflex Biomed aims to produce accurate, affordable, and simple-to-use molecular diagnostic testing kits for infectious diseases in developed as well as resource-limited countries, thus SAVING HUMANITY THROUGH PATHOGEN DIAGNOSTICS.
Our end users are clinics, hospitals, research community, academia, as well as government research agencies and the military. We enable pathogen diagnosis for medical counter measures against threats pose by epidemics and pandemics, and by potential bio-warfare agents.
Our patented technology targets a wide spectrum of pathogens that includes HIV, Ebola virus, Marburg virus, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis E, SARS-CoV-1/2, MERS, Dengue virus, West Nile virus, Zika, Plasmodium (Malaria), Cytomegalovirus, Lassa Fever virus, and Yellow Fever virus, among others. The technology detects and simultaneously identifies 3 – 7 infectious bearing the same clinical symptoms within an hour. This enables prompt and targeted life-saving therapeutic interventions at affordable cost.
Founded in 2015, Shufflex Biomed is headquartered in Germantown, Maryland, about 30 miles from Washington, DC and also based in Lower Johnsonville in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa.
